How to restore the BillingTracker Pro data file from online backup:

The basics:
1. Download the data file (billingtrackerpro4.mdb) from the online servers to your desktop.
2. Close BillingTracker Pro and then copy/paste the data file from the desktop into the directory where you installed the application.


The details:
First of all, back up your existing data file locally (e.g. somewhere on your hard disk that you can find again if necessary). Then follow these steps:

1. Go to Preferences > Online Backup.

2. Click on the 'Manage Files' button.

3. A new screen will open up. Click on the 'Connect' button.

4. Your system will connect with our online servers, and a list of the files that you back up will be displayed.

5. Highlight the file that you want to download. If it is the data file, highlight billingtrackerpro4.mdb, by clicking on it once.

6. Click on the 'Download button'.

7. Download it to your desktop, or another location on your computer that is easy to find. Do NOT download it to the directory where you installed BillingTracker Pro 4 (which for Windows XP users is c:\program files\BillingTracker Pro 4. Windows 7 users see the next step).

   7.5. FOR WINDOWS 7 USERS: If you are using BillingTracker Pro version 4.2.5 or below, the data file will also be in another directory, which might be hidden. Do NOT download to this directory.
	 The location of this directory is:
	 C:\Users\YourLoginName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BillingTracker Pro 4
	 Note that the AppData and following folders might be hidden. YOu need to go into Windows settings to un-hide these hidden folders (directories).

8. After it is downloaded you can 'Disconnect' and then close BillingTracker Pro.

9. Find the file you downloaded, and copy it into the directory where you installed BillingTracker Pro

For version 4.3.1 or higher, all versions of Windows:
The default location is c:\Documents\BillingTracker\BillingTracker Pro

For version 4.2.5 or below:
Windows XP default location is c:\program files\BillingTracker Pro.

WINDOWS 7 default location is in another directory, which might be hidden.
	 The location of this directory is:
	 C:\Users\YourLoginName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BillingTracker Pro 4
	 Note that the AppData and following folders might be hidden. YOu need to go into Windows settings to un-hide these hidden folders (directories).

10. Launch BillingTracker Pro - you should see the data from the data file that you just downloaded.
