BillingTracker Pro allows you to track time accurately and efficiently.
The built-in timer is one of BillingTracker Pro’s most important features. If you have a service business, time is literally money. And the best way to make more money is to track every minute. Accounting and billing for your time is one of the most important features that any invoicing software can perform.
BillingTracker Pro’s timer is integrated deeply into the program, so that any time tracking you log is automatically entered into the ‘Daily Work – Log Hours’ screen, and from there is automatically added to the invoice.
The timer itself is very easy to use. It allows you to switch between clients and projects with just a click or two. If you are working on one project and get a telephone call from another client about another matter, the timer lets you pause the first project and switch to the second one immediately, so that you can bill for every minute. In fact, you can even have a second client or project already loaded and paused enabling you to switch instantly (as opposed to just very, very quickly).
The timer also has a time tracking program for unbillable projects so that you can get a good idea of how much time you are spending on activities that don’t directly make you money – an effective tool for time management tracking.
When you are ready to log your time, you can type in a description of what you just did. That description, and of course the number of hours, will then be transferred to the ‘Daily Work – Log Hours’ screen as any other time entry. You can edit it there if you wish.
You can go to the Preferences screen and set a minimal amount of time the timer will record into your timesheet. For example, if you a law firm accounting bills in 15 minute increments than the timer will log an eight minute task as 15 minutes. This saves you time and prevents mistakes, since it is all automated.
